The fireplaces are the oldest heated stoves with open firebox, since the 14th century they are placed in houses of wealthier citizens, by the wall or in the corner of the room. It is artistically shaped, depending on the stylistic period that they are belonging. Today, fireplaces are used not only for heating but sometimes for decoration.
